Welcome to the family! – New restaurants on OpenTable

It’s officially spring! Time to swap the comfort food and Netflix binges for a night out on the town. If you need some inspiration, here are some of the fantastic restaurants that have joined OpenTable recently.


J Sheekey Oyster Bar – Tucked away on St Martin’s Court, this Covent Garden institution is the ideal spot for pre-theatre Champagne and oysters. Not an oyster fan? No problem! Try the seared scallops with wild garlic and chilli, the Cornish fish stew, or Sheekey’s famous fish pie.

8 Hoxton Square – At this local favourite overlooking Hoxton Square, the menu changes daily and the wine list is full of affordable gems. It’s perfect for lunch or a date night dinner before a neighbourhood bar crawl.

Jinjuu – If you’re out in Soho, head to Judy Joo’s modern Korean restaurant for bulgogi beef sliders, Korean fried chicken and ‘disco fries’ topped with pulled pork, cheese and kimchi.

Morada Brindisa – The latest addition to the Brindisa family specialises in dishes cooked in a wood-fired oven or on their robata grill. Expect plenty of Iberian pork, milk fed lamb, fresh fish and tapas plates.

Wheeler’s Bank – Dine in style at Marco Pierre White’s slick new City restaurant. The menu includes British classics like rib of beef, grilled dover sole and Shepherd’s Pie.

La Polenteria – Craving comfort food? Try creamy polenta topped with wild boar ragu, truffled mushrooms, or fresh crab and sun blush tomatoes. There are plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free options too!

Also new in London: The Fourteenth Colonie, Cañas y Tapas in Angel, Bang Bang Vietnamese Canteen, Eat 17, Bobo Social, and the recently revamped Shepherd’s in Westminster.


Outside of London, it’s a good month for steak lovers! We’re taking bookings at the newly opened Hawksmoor in Manchester and Argentine steak specialists CAU in Wilmslow.

Flaming Cow – They’ve only been open for a few months but Flaming Cow has already won over Eton and Windsor locals with their burgers, ribs and boozy shakes. Don’t miss their In ‘n’ Out-inspired ‘Animal’ burger.

Pintura – Now open at Trinity Leeds, this Basque kitchen and bar serves Spanish meat and cheese platters, tasty tapas dishes, cava cocktails and giant gin and tonics.

Slim’s Pork Chop Express – Offering a British take on American BBQ, Slim’s in Liverpool is the place to be if you’re craving slow-smoked meat. They’re also open for brunch (all week long!), serving American-style pancakes, steak and eggs, and chicken and waffles.
