Now, the only question is style:  Trad Christmas Party, or Mad Christmas Party?
Everyone goes a bit nostalgic at Christmastide, so even if your office is an edgy environment teetering at the brink of the known world, your guests may still adore turkey and crackers and a touch of the time-honoured customs.  The Café des Amis may be French to the core and theatrical to boot, located in Covent Garden, but the Christmas menus feature all the turkey and smoked salmon and Christmas pud you crave.  The beloved Kettner’s in Soho promises all that and Brussels sprouts besides in a super atmosphere with a choice of private dining rooms in the heart of partyland.  Bank Westminster and Zander Bar is a fabulous space overlooking a charming interior courtyard through enormous plate glass windows.  The choices for super traditional dining in the City are many:  Bonds, just a hundred yards from the Bank of England, is elegant and quiet with fine service and top diner rating;  normally known for its fresh fish, Chamberlain’s restaurant on three floors offers a fine traditional menu and charming views out over lovely, historic Leadenhall Market; chic, city-centric The Chancery Restaurant certainly has all the traditional dishes you seek but also some more inventive ones to keep it all fresh.
Now for the mad bit.  Get out of the turkey rut and into something more global, or combine your festive meal with another activity.  Take the group to one of the three All Star Lanes for great cocktails, classic American diner grub and games of tenpin bowling.  Or head for some dancing action at longtime favourites Floridita, Gilgamesh or the Roadhouse, a perfect plan for getting yourself in range of that gorgeous coworker.  Maybe some get-above-it-all perspective would lift those holiday spirits in these gloomy days, like a visit to Paramount at CentrePoint, Babylon at the Roof Gardens, the Michelin-starred Galvin at Windows or the top diner rated Portrait Restaurant and Bar high atop the National Portrait Gallery.
Maybe what your party needs is a Japanese tasting menu in a former meatpacking factory, like Loungelover in Shoreditch.  Or perhaps gathering the group around some fondues in an Alpine restaurant hung with braids of garlic, like Walluc Bistro is the key to an historic evening.  Classic karaoke could be the perfect thing to get the party going properly, as at bohemian Paradise by Way of Kensal Green, fabbo Revolution America Square or the Italian Brazen Monkey Karoke.
Whatever your needs, for an intimate, low-key gathering or a wingding with all the trimmings, toptable is here to help you plan every detail, and to create an unforgettable Christmas party.
