As the year draws to a close, we are excited to reveal the Top 100 Restaurants in the UK for 2017. The list is based on more than 730,000 verified reviews written by OpenTable diners in the last 12 months and highlights some of the very best places to eat right now.
The Ledbury has retained the number one spot for the third year running, with diners continuing to rave about head chef Brett Graham’s contemporary European dishes. The Five Fields held on to second place, followed by iconic London seafood restaurant, Scott’s.
The OpenTable Top 10 Restaurants 2017, in rank order, are:
— The Ledbury, London
— The Five Fields, London
— Scott’s Restaurant, London
— Restaurant Story, London
— Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, London
— Anglo, London
— Mere, London
— Typing Room, London
— Portland, London
— Chez Bruce, London
The list is once again dominated by European, British and French restaurants, with steakhouses also proving a popular choice. While diners continued to enjoy fine dining destinations such as Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, they also gave high praise to more relaxed restaurants such as Blacklock, Som Saa, and Primeur.
Adrian Valeriano, Vice President, Europe, OpenTable, comments “OpenTable diner reviews have always been, and will continue to be, one of our key pillars for ensuring customers discover the right dining experience wherever they are in the UK. London retains its reputation as the UK’s culinary capital, but we continue to see outstanding restaurants from across a number of cities including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Chester appearing on the list.”
Thanks to everyone who booked, dined and reviewed with OpenTable this year. The Top 100 restaurants are chosen by you and your fellow diners, so keep writing those reviews!
