The toptable team are back in London after a long weekend full of fine food and sunshine in Edinburgh. Our VIP lounge was in full swing again this year and we had a great time serving Tanqueray® gin and tonics and 'English Garden' cocktails to our lucky VIP users.
It was great to meet so many toptable diners, especially our youngest foodie guest – Erin, aged 10. Thanks to her parents’ regular toptable dining, she has developed some very sophisticated tastes. No chicken nuggets for her – she was loving the gourmet treats at Taste!
We couldn’t resist taking a break to try out some of the dishes that Edinburgh’s top chefs were serving up over the weekend. We loved Santini’s flavoursome risotto, packed full of fresh seafood. Here are our lovely Marketing ladies in action outside the VIP lounge.
Another firm favourite was the Donald Russel rib-eye steak with sauce béarnaise from Hotel du Vin but the biggest queue of the day was for Malmaison’s ‘Malburger’ – a perfect bite size burger that was an ideal al fresco snack. After watching the team from La Favorita doing some incredible pizza dough tossing, we finished things off with a chocolate sundae from Centotre.
We had an enjoyable and exhausting time in Edinburgh and can’t wait for Taste of London in a few weeks time. It kicks off in Regents Park on the 18th – see you there!
