If like us, you haven’t managed to get tickets to Wimbledon this year, don’t worry. Here are some of the best places to watch the Championships whilst enjoying the sunshine and a great meal.
In Chelsea, Bluebird is once again decorating its al fresco area with astro-turf, sport screens and oversized tennis balls. Diners can try dishes like grilled English lamb cutlets with parsnip and carrot crisps or Eton Mess from their Wimbledon menu.
Near Piccadilly Circus, to celebrate the second week of the Championships (29th June – 5th July), a tennis court will be set up on Swallow Street offering outdoor seating for Gaucho and Bentley’s where diners can watch the matches on giant screens.
In the city, Coq d’Argent is showing the tennis on one of their al fresco terraces. To celebrate the final on Sunday 4th July, the D&D team will be serving up ‘Tennis on the Terrace’, for £90 per person diners can enjoy a fabulous 4-course meal, a glass of Verve Clicquot and hopefully a great game of tennis, in this unbeatable location.
In Balham, diners at Harrison’s are invited to watch the main matches in their bar areas, where the staff will be serving up special Wimbledon themed cocktails and strawberries and cream.
Tennis fans in Marylebone should head to the Sports Bar & Grill who will be showing the tennis, alongside the World Cup on 52 inch high definition screens.
