Frenchie – Gregory Marchand, the man behind the hugely popular Frenchie in Paris, has opened a new restaurant in Covent Garden. Expect ‘simple and generous’ European dishes, an ever-changing wine list and a daily lunch menu offering two courses for just £22.
Beef & Brew – Treat the carnivore in your life to craft beer and delicious (and affordable) steaks at this Kentish Town gem. They also serve a great burger and a beef cheek French dip sandwich.
Thyme & Lemon – At this buzzy Islington newcomer, you can linger over a bottle of wine and enjoy tapas dishes like ham croquetas, lamb cutlets with aubergine pistou, and tiger prawns with chilli and garlic.
Rudie’s – For a taste of Jamaica, head to Rudie’s in Dalston for rum cocktails, small plates and jerk. Their meat is marinated for 24 hours and cooked on traditional jerk drums for that authentic smoky flavour.
OXBO Bankside – Just a stone’s throw from the Tate Modern, OXBO serves traditional British dishes, hearty breakfasts, and superb Sunday roasts with the option to upgrade to unlimited Prosecco.Continue Reading
