The 10 best entries will be invited to the final cook-off at Giraffe on Southbank next weekend. The winner will be crowned Rude Health’s London Porridge champion 2009 and presented with their prize.
Competitors will have 20 minutes to transform Rude Health’s Daily Oats into a gourmet dish. The possibilities are endless, from rocky road porridge to creamy toffee porridge with poached seasonal fruit. Adventurous foodies might even go down the savoury route with pumpkin porridge risotto or parmesan porridge dumplings – the more creative the recipe the better!
Giraffe will also be hosting a junior contest where 12 mini-masterchefs will be given five minutres to transform a bowl of plain porridge into an impressive breakfast for the judges. To enter yourself or your little foodies, contact email@example.com for an application form.
If you don’t fancy taking part, you can go along to watch and pick up a free bowl of porridge from the Rude Health rollerskaters. Can’t make it to Southbank? Book a table at your nearest Giraffe restaurant.
