Mennula – This sophisticated Sicilian restaurant replaced the legendary Passione on foodie-friendly Charlotte Street. Zilli Green – Celeb chef Aldo Zilli recently transformed his flagship Soho restaurant into a new meat-free haven for West End veggies. The menu is inspired by vegetarian dishes from across the globe, from Italian-inspired pastas and lasagne to spicy curries and Mexican platters.

Tike – Already a hit with local City slickers, this Istanbul import specialises in hot and cold mezze, stone-baked flatbreads and delicious grilled meats. The Red Monkey – Tired of SW11’s gastropub scene? Head for this Battersea newcomer and enjoy some Tokyo-style glamour, stunning cocktails and a menu full of Japanese bar snacks like skewers, tempura and katsu. Supperclub – The Notting Hill off-shoot of the Amsterdam original is perfect for Londoners searching for daringly different nights out. Inside, it’s pure avant garde eccentricity, with diners relaxing on oversized white beds while their four-course meal is interspersed with kooky cabaret.
