Big Easy Covent Garden – If you love barbecue, head to Big Easy’s new Covent Garden restaurant and pig out on slow-smoked brisket, pork ribs, whole grilled lobsters, and lethal frozen cocktails.
One Kensington – This glamorous new restaurant overlooking Kensington Gardens is perfect for leisurely lunches and intimate dinners. Perch at the counter bar for a quick bite or celebrate in style at the elevated Champagne table. The set lunch menu (2 courses for £24) is excellent value for money.
Great Queen Street – If you’re craving seasonal simplicity, a great wine list and maybe a cocktail or two, this hidden gem is guaranteed to hit the spot. Out of town guests will love the oh-so-British menu which includes classics like skate with devilled shrimps, roast quail, and rabbit pie for two to share.
Canvas – At chef Michael Riemenschneider’s Marylebone restaurant, diners can choose up to ten dishes to create their own tasting menu, complete with ‘classic’ or ‘iconic’ wine pairing options.
Saddleback – Popping up at the much-loved Gunmakers pub in Clerkenwell, the Saddleback team are serving top quality British meat and seasonal veg on weekend evenings. Expect dishes like Tamworth pig cheeks with baked apple and ginger spinach, mackerel with salsa verde, and rhubarb crumble.

Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen – Fish fans heading for Cornwall this summer will love Nathan Outlaw’s seafood restaurant in Port Isaac. The small plates are perfect for diners who like to mix and match.
Pint Shop – At this Cambridge restaurant, they promise ‘simple British food cooked over real charcoal’. Their friendly staff will help you find a craft beer to match your meal and if you like gin, you’re in for a treat – they stock over 45 different brands.
Spiceberry – For curry in Cardiff, foodies in the know head to Spiceberry where chef Pramod Nair cooks authentic South Indian dishes flavoured with curry leaves, coconut and coastal spices.
Nord – Looking for something a little different in Harrogate? At Nord, you can try Nordic-influenced dishes like venison with lingonberry, lamb with barley and wild garlic, and pork belly with mackerel and cucumber. On the drinks list, you’ll find craft ales, thoughtfully chosen wines and three house cocktails.
