Matthew reviews Taste of London

The Taste of London reviews keep rolling in from our ticket winners! Matthew and his girlfriend managed to taste a lot of great dishes and took some fab photos which you can view on our Facebook page. Here are some extracts from Matthew’s review:

“Our first stop was Trinity for some roast belly of middle white pork,  smoked apple, watercress and crisp crackling. What a  great start! The crackling had just the right crunch and the meat was nice and moist complemented by the fantastic flavour from the smoked apple sauce, yum!

We moved on to Dinings, great looking food, we went for Chilli garlic black cod, which was melt in your mouth deliciousness with a kick!

Next the Gaucho stand where we got some bife de chorizo – Argentine Black Angus sirloin, humitas and chimichurri. Perfectly pink black Aberdeen Angus steak with a sweetcorn purée cooked in the corn husk. Fab steak, really good flavour and a generous portion too, the steak was so good I want to go to the restaurant.

The most popular stand while we were there was Theo Randall’s. We got pan fried scallops with pancetta, fresh red chilli, parsley and capers with Castelluccio lentils and rocket. Wow delicious, 3 big fat juicy scallops nicely complimented by the other ingredients, the lentils of particular note. Now we know why the stand was so popular!

We had a really good day out and would recommend it to anyone with a passion for food, however there is far too much to get around with the time you get. I think a study of what else was there is in order and book through tptable when they have offers to go and try them out.”
