La Fete Alpine: A warming winter menu at Le Bouchon Breton

Embrace the wintry weather at Spitalfields brasserie, Le Bouchon Breton, where they will be serving classic ‘Apres Ski’ dishes throughout February and March. They’re all designed to be shared and include a side of onion soup and a Belgian endive and walnut salad, as well as your choice of a half bottle of wine or two pints of Kronenbourg or Bulmers cider.

Relive memories of Alpine holidays with the Fondue Savoyarde – a pot of melted Emmental, Gruyere and Reblochon cheese slowly cooked with onion and white wine, served with boiled potatoes and pain de campagne croutons. Perfect for sharing!

Other options include the Raclette Traditionelle (a selection of meats, potatoes and mange tout served with melted cheese and Pain de Campagne) and Tartiflette (slices of boiled potatoes and crispy smoked bacon gratin covered in a rich Reblochon cheese and onion sauce).

If you’re not a cheese fan, try the Pierrade de Boeuf or de Crevette – slices of beef sirloin or prawns marinated in garlic and rosemary and cooked on a hot stone at your table. This do-it-yourself dish comes with garlic mayo, choron sauce, blue cheese sauce and Pommes Pont Neuf. Can’t decide between land and sea? Order the Surf & Turf option!
