Krisztina visits Restaurant Six

Our International Development Exec reviews Restaurant Six:

When we arrived at Restaurant Six in Zurich, we were welcomed with a smile by Adrian, the chef and owner. The restaurant itself is one of the oldest buildings in the area but looks very modern inside, with panelled ceilings and charming décor. We were comfortably seated by the window so we could enjoy the sunshine.

For our starter, we ordered the roasted mixed vegetables sprinkled with olive oil. The dish was light and well-cooked, with the vegetables retaining their freshness and crunch. For our main courses, we decided to be adventurous and chose something different. We really enjoyed the kangaroo fillet medallions with plum chutney and mashed potato because the meat was juicy and tender. The second dish was a John Dory fillet with tomato, capers, olives and tagliatelle. The combination of the fish and tomatoes worked well and the flavours were spot on. It was a delicious meal from start to finish.

I would recommend the restaurant for business or family dinners because the food is excellent and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. We would definitely go back, hopefully in sunny weather so we could sit in their al fresco area. Restaurant Six is a delightful snapshot of time gone by – if you are in Zurich, don’t miss out!
