Starting today and every Tuesday from now on, Beach Blanket Babylon in Shoreditch are hosting free life drawing sessions for creative foodies and local artist types. You can go alone or bring your friends along and there’s no need to book – just bring your own materials (paper, board, and whatever you like to draw with).
With two 40 minute sessions on offer – one at 6.30pm and the other at 7.30pm – you can pop in for one or stay for both. The sessions will be led by an experienced life model and teacher who is happy to give you some tips or just leave you alone to practice your skills.
If all that sketching makes you hungry, you can try out BBB’s new small plates menu which features tasty snacks priced at £6.50 each. Tuck into tapas-sized dishes like homemade hummus and pita; crispy battered squid with lemon and aioli; and honey mustard glazed Cumberland sausages. To drink, don’t miss their Credit Crunch Cocktail – a summery blend of vodka, blackberries, lemon juice and soda for just £5.50. Perfect if your wallet is feeling the mid-week pinch!
