When it comes to eating seasonally, British foodies are spoilt for choice in August. Whether you’re cooking at home or dining out, there’s never been a better time to feast on raspberries, plums, sweetcorn, aubergine, and our personal favourite – cherries! In recent weeks, we’ve seen chefs around the UK getting creative and using British cherries in their desserts, cocktails, and savoury dishes. We’ve rounded up some of the best below but as cherry season is so short, be sure to call ahead to make sure they’re still on the menu.
