thetablecafeAre you brave enough to order the spooky special at The Table Café? Until October 31st, you’ll receive a treat if you order the trick – a pancake or waffle topped with crispy bacon, caramelised banana and maple syrup, plus a sinister sprinkling of JIMINI’s smoked onion BBQ crickets. (The treat is a free cup of their excellent Allpress coffee every day until October 31st).

balthazarBringing some seriously spooky vibes to Covent Garden, Balthazar is hosting a three-day extravaganza of fantasy food and killer cocktails. Take the perfect Halloween selfie in their pumpkin-lined entrance, sip a spine-tingling Corpse Reviver No. 2, or head to the boulangerie for bat cookies and pecan pie. On Sunday, put on your goth-glam glad-rags for their Halloween party, complete with a set from DJ duo Le Bon Tong. Be sure to book a table.

socialeatinghouseThis Halloween, guests at Jason Atherton’s Social Eating House can treat their playful side to a boozy ice cream sundae. Pumpkin ice cream is layered with a spiced rum and pumpkin latte, white coffee ice cream and rum jelly, before being topped with milk foam and spiced granola. Served on the side, a glass skull is filled with a mystery blood syrup for guests to add to taste. It’s only available this Friday and Saturday, so don’t miss out.

mewsofmayfairTucked away in a historic courtyard, Mews of Mayfair is a top spot for lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner with friends. This Halloween, their mixologists are mixing up three special cocktails – a Love Potion made with pear vodka, a rum-based Evil Eye, and this vibrant orange Voodoo Needle. It’s a devilishly delicious blend of pisco, spiced rum, lemon juice, angostura bitters, and spiced roasted pumpkin compote – the perfect way to kick-start your weekend.

macandwildOver in Fitzrovia, Mac & Wild have created the Evil Moo burger, a wicked twist on their award winning Veni-Moo. It’s as delicious as it is dangerous, with two Scottish beef patties topped with hotter-than-hell harissa hollandaise. Pair it with their feisty Bloody Scotsman cocktail –a fright night combo guaranteed to blow your head off!

senorcevicheStarting this Thursday, Senor Ceviche will be serving the ‘Calabaza en Llamas’ (the flaming pumpkin) – a mix of cherry and allspice-infused Machu Pisco and pumpkin spiced syrup. There will only be 66 of these special cocktails available, so get in quick and while you’re there, try some of their delicious pachamanca pork ribs with sticky yakiniku sauce.

benscanteenAt Ben’s Canteen, diners can risk bringing fire and brimstone to their taste buds with Trick or Treat Hot Wing Roulette – will you pick the wing that’s been injected with extra hot sauce? If you can’t handle the heat, try the Halloween burger – buttermilk fried chicken with spiced pumpkin houmous, pickled onions, sweet tomato relish, and a chilli and coriander dressing. Wash it all down with Ben’s Apple Bobber cocktail – just what the witch-doctor ordered!

bluebirdMake your way through the pumpkin patch and head to Bluebird‘s recently revamped bar for some spooktacular cocktails. Try the gin-based Boneyard Bitters or their Halloween Cup – Zubrowka bison grass vodka, xante liqueur, apple and pear juice, shaken with Campari. Fancy something a little sweeter? You’ll love the Chelsea Chocolate Cauldron – a dreamy blend of toffee vodka, Mozart chocolate liqueur, and pineapple juice, shaken with fresh cream and strawberry.
