Don't be choco-late – book your Chocolate Week dinners now!

With darker days looming and more rain on the way, we’re all in need of some comfort food. Winter soups and stews are great but if you’re looking for something sweeter, you’ll be spoilt for choice with all of the great events taking place during Chocolate Week. From 12th–18th October, there will be talks, tastings and chocolate-themed dinners being held all over the UK, as well as the chance to meet some excellent English chocolatiers like Paul A Young. Fancy joining in? Here are just some of the top restaurants offering chocolicious dinners next week:

Amba Bar & Grill – The May Fair Hotel will be hosting the Chocolate Unwrapped event and on Saturday 10th the restaurant will be serving a chocolate-themed meal cooked by some of the London Restaurant Festival’s celebrity chefs. With creative dishes from Tristan Welch and Maria Elia on offer, you’d be mad to miss this menu.

Almeida – Kicking off on Monday 12th, the Almeida’s head chef and Paul A Young will be serving a three-course meal in the popular restaurant just off Upper Street. Priced at £40, the menu includes dishes like halibut with a hazelnut and cocoa nib crust; pot roast pigeon with chocolate jus; and a deliciously dark chocolate fondant.

Hoxton Apprentice – In Hoxton Square, the trainee chefs at this charity-run restaurant will be offering crab and white chocolate risotto; venison with chilli and chocolate jus; and a trio of homemade ice-creams on their Choc Week menu.

If you just fancy a sweet treat at the end of your meal, there will be Divine chocolate desserts on offer at Sam’s Brasserie, Bumpkin, Michael Caine’s ABode Hotels, and Brighton’s Terre a Terre.

For something a little different, head for West End cookery school L’Atelier des Chefs where they will be including chocolate desserts in their evening classes and running a chocolate workshop on Saturday 17th where you can make dainty macaroons and chocolate shots.
