While London restaurants account for half of the top 100 list, the top ten includes five toptable diner favourites from outside the capital. These include Upstairs at the Grill, an NYC-inspired steakhouse in Cheshire; the family-run Carters in Birmingham; and Wild Mushroom, a modern British restaurant in a converted farmhouse in East Sussex. In the full list of top 100 restaurants, Scotland, Manchester and Birmingham were also well represented.

British cuisine proved the most popular with toptable diners, accounting for nearly 30% of the list, followed by French (24%) and modern European (16%).
