Chelsea Flower Show special… Seven flower power menus!

If you don't fancy a day looking at flowers, have you considered eating them? Don't take fork to the Chelsea Flower show – just book a table at one of these London eateries where petals are on the menu in May.

Cinnamon Club – The Garden Menu returns, full of delicious dishes like crisp zucchini flowers with tamarind vegetables; asparagus with chive flower kebab; and elderflower and anise sorbet.

The Ritz – The ‘Flower Menu’ will include stuffed courgette flowers with prawns and jasmine jus; terrine of goose liver with viola and pansies; and decadent desserts infused with hibiscus, rose and jasmine.

Daphne’s – For just £22.50 for 2 courses, diners can enjoy dishes like chicken with violet artichokes; focaccia with mozzarella and courgette flowers; and elderflower and spring berry jelly.

St Pancras Grand – Feast on dishes like potted salmon with borage flowers and roast lamb with wine and lavender jus from a three-course set menu (£35 including Champagne), or treat someone to a floral afternoon tea for £25, including a glass of Laurent Perrier Rosé.

Avenue – Try seasonal floral dishes like early summer vegetables with garden flowers and pea risotto with flowering wild herbs.

Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor – Treat someone special to afternoon tea at the elegant Fifth Floor Restaurant. The fragrant lavender cupcakes, rose petal and vanilla tea, and hibiscus financiers are a great way to refuel after a day of shopping. There are botanical cocktails too.

The Restaurant – A perfect treat for the lady in your life: a full floral afternoon tea overlooking Chelsea Harbour. Sandwiches will include ham glazed with lavender honey and the sweet treats range from violet and vanilla éclairs to rose and Champagne jelly.
