Evergreen Tea at The Athenaeum

It’s been a great year for The Athenaeum. First, they received an Award of Excellent from the UK Tea Guild and now they’re celebrating the first year anniversary of the hotel’s living wall – a vertical garden made up of 280 exotic plants. To mark the leafy landmark’s birthday and coincide with the Chelsea Flower Show, they will be serving an exclusive ‘Evergreen Tea’ until September.

Inspired by the exotic plants and flowers that climb the wall, the tea menu includes delicate flavours like jasmine and peach alongside traditional favourites like Earl Grey and Darjeeling. For just £27.50 per person, diners can enjoy traditional finger sandwiches followed by floral-themed treats like orange blossom scones, iced floral tea cakes, rose-scented meringues and mixed fruit tartlets with lavender jam.

Tea is served at 12.30pm, 3pm and 5.30pm each day and there is a £34 option which includes a floral Champagne cocktail. Book now or check out some other great places for afternoon tea in London.
