A taste of Thailand via Greenwich

Next weekend (8th and 9th August), Greenwich Park Bandstand will host the second annual Thai Festival celebrating the food, arts and culture of this beautiful country. London’s Thai food fans are in for a treat because chef Khun Sompong (Blue Elephant) will be serving up signature dishes like green chicken curry and black pepper tiger prawns. The restaurant will also be putting on one of their famous fruit carving shows and selling curry pastes and sauces. Local Thai restaurants from across South London will also be in attendance to feed the hungry masses.

As well as some first class food, visitors will be treated to traditional displays of Thai music and dancing; shoulder and foot massages; Muay Thai boxing; cookery demos and handicraft stalls. We’ve got our fingers crossed for sunny weather because the Singha Beer Garden sounds like a great place to spend a lazy afternoon! You can book tickets and find out more on the festival website.
